yeah, I need to shape up a lot of stuff, my rear end included, but right now, my scrap space needs it most. Why? Because that's where I go to relax...to unwind...to de-stress. It's hard to do that in a disorganized & messy space. I personally can't create in chaos. So one of my many unspoken resolutions this year is to de-clutter my "space". I found a helpful article in a magazine and I thought I'd share it here. Maybe you guys will find it useful for your creative space as well. It doesn't have to be scrap space only...it can apply to stamp space, painting space, beading space, homeschool space...wherever you go to unwind. Here's to shaping up & motivating myself to scrapping memories.
- Store the scraps. Clean up your scrap table and put all reusable scraps in your scraps container.
- Take 10! Quick, find 10 things and put them in their place. Your space will be neat and tidy in no time.
- File the "re-file" pile. Unused supplies and papers should be filed away for use next time.
- Create a donation station for items that can be donated. Find a box or container to put older supplies to good use.
- Ditch the packaging. Unwrap new items for a streamline stash.
- Toss the trash. Empty the trash when you're done creating, make room for easy post-creative trash next time.

I love to declutter! I haven't scrapbooked in FOREVER but this would be useful for lots of rooms. Thanks for sharing!
Me neither, but I need to get started. I think designing this new house, and having my scrapbook room downstairs and near the laundryroom and kitchen will make it easier to stop/start projects, rather than running back and forth upstairs. At least that's what I'm using as my excuse right now, the stairs.
What an appropriate post for me to read today! I cleaned out my scrap space...I'm the same way, I can't create in a mess! I 'think' I'm going to go up after dinner and actually scrap...at least one layout!

I have been doing a LOT of scrapbooking lately and I love it! I was in such a rut earlier (and too busy painting, which i am now taking a break from). Can't wait to see your new scrap space!!! Oh, and I'm SO glad you are blogging again....I've missed you!
