Yes, you may pick yourself up off the floor. I do realize this is my comeback post...no blog post since November. I lost my MoJo...I knew it would happen. I always get a winter funk...a depression of sorts. I need sunshine. I need warmth. Yada, yada, yada.
My girl had a Birthday while I was on blog-vacation. She's a tween....she's 12. The last year of my sanity before she is a teenager. I was so relieved when she said she wanted an all-girls Birthday party this year, in combination with a sleepover. I am so burn out on bowling and skating and pre-planning parties. There was no theme...red plates. Her friend Autumn dared her to get a cookie-monster cookie cake, so duh, the colors were red and blue. How simple.
I know, yummy huh?
I can't believe I got them all looking...Annah, Autumn, Makayla, Lauren & Alex.
Love the way Makayla is looking at Hannah in this picture.
I couldn't even photoshop her teeth white...blue from the cookie-monster icing.
They all got tickled over one of those singing Birthday cards... "A dingo stole your Birthday cake..."
Instead of gift bags for the girls, we made necklaces...not the stretchy kind, but the for real wire, glass bead, toggle clasp kind...(a new hobby of mine). Hannah has been beading since she took a beading mini-course at school last Semester. (she really makes some gorgeous jewelry). I pre-picked out beads, with Hannah's help, according to their personalities. I pre-cut the wire and added one end of the toggle clasp on the one end, so all they had to do was design the beading, and Hannah and I did the other end of the toggles when they were done. I regret that I didn't get an end picture of them with their necklaces on, but they all did a great job and had so much fun doing it.
While we're on beading, below are a couple of pictures of necklaces my talented daughter has made in the past few weeks. Most of them she is selling at school to help a teacher raise money for another student with Leukemia.
This is my favorite of all the ones she's made...she wore it in her Spring pictures. I made earrings to match.
I actually talked her out of this one, she let me BUY it for $15. That was a steal, considering how many seed beads she had to string on that wire.
My favorite again, just because it's my favorite. If you would like a necklace and earrings for that special whoever, she can make them for you for $16 for the set. All sterling silver or gold over sterling. Just go to hobby lobby and get an idea of beads...maybe snap a picture with your phone and fb me and she will put it together for you. (that's what she said) My little budding entrepreneur.

I am glad that you are back, I am back too, let me know if you can get to my blog. Anyway, love all Hannah b-day pictures. I think the biggest b-day party Delany has had was when she turn 1. After that all the b-days parties she has been with a few friends and now with only her best freinds and it is so nice to see how all together enjoy with her. Hannah has a lot of talent making those necklaces, so touching what she is doing for the little girl. I love her b-day cake I think it is so fun and the strawberries with chocolate mmm!!!
I can't believe she is 12 already...
Hannah is growing up! It looks like she had a great party! What a fun idea! Her necklaces are BEAUTIFUL!!!
