A "Lot" to Report...

After a marathon run to Oklahoma City last Saturday, up and back in one day, we met with our builder and secured "lot #4" in our new neighborhood. This is all pending our orders back to OKC in the early summer, but this builder is willing to start building for us WITHOUT earnest money at all from us, and if we get orders somewhere else or not at all, he'll just sell our house. This is not a common thing, so we are really excited about his offer. He simply said "I don't do business like that, keep your earnest money". So, God willing, we'll be breaking ground in January. Here is lot 4 and some of our neighborhood. It is a one street neighborhood with one culdesac. It is horse friendly. The lot is 5 acres and flat as a pancake. We are excited. Here's Hannah in front of Lot #4...holding up 4 fingers...

Jack rabbits are everywhere out there...they're hopping all over the place and honestly, they kind of creep me out because their eyes are sorta human.

This used to be a horse farm, so it's divided into 5 acre lots already and that's why the pipe and cable fence and run in sheds...most people turn the sheds into stuff for garden sheds and brick them to match the house.

Down the street....

The house nextdoor....

Looks great! I know you are excited..........good luck on the house plan hunting....one last thought on the formal dining room thing...you could make that room your library with your very own comfy chair to read in...

Finally I have found your blog again! Am staying up way too late but am enjoying reading:) You & Jill do a great job blogging...very motivating to try. But, all I can think of when I want to blog is to somehow "memorialize my mom" - which brings me verrrry down. So, for now...my blog will wait! Maybe indefinitely - we'll see. Too bad - cant interface a blog on FB!
