Must be doin' somethin' right...

I hate Mondays...anyone with me? What is it about the two days in between Friday and Monday that cause you to lose all the "groove" that you gained during the week? Mondays are always out of kilter for us, so I always try to "pre-do" all that I can to make the morning run smoother...some of my less organized friends (you know who you are!) will hate me for this; but I always go ahead and add the Ovaltine to Hannah's glass the night before, lay out the straw, the spoon to stir it all together, along with her singulair. When I wake up and stumble to the counter, all I have to do is grab the milk and pour, stir, and serve in bed. Yes, she's served in bed. Anyway, this past Monday morning, I woke up to these sweet notes to me, from my thoughtful daughter. One on the milk glass that says "good morning" and one in her pre-prepared lunchbox that says just "hi". Some days I feel so taken for granted, (can I get an Amen anyone); everything I do gets undone, everything I pick up gets taken out, everything I clean gets dirty again, and I wonder sometimes if anyone notices what I actually do, and what on earth would everyone do if for one day I didn't do what I usually do? I guess Hannah does notice all that I do (sometimes anyway), and in the hustle and bustle of everyday, she is absorbing our efforts to raise her to be considerate and caring of other people. Yep, I'm bragging on my kid.

Kelly, you are a wonderful Mom and this is just a little bit back of the whole love that you give to your family. What a beautiful thing of Hannah!
P.S. I am with you about Mondays and I feel in the same way about the house hold.

Brag away sweet momma! It is always good to be recognized - but when our own children return what you have been working so hard to teach by example - WOW! You are - in a word - FABULOUS! Hannah just sees in you what we do when we say we are blessed to call you a friend.

Such a sweet girl you have! I used to love the notes my mom would leave in my lunchbox! This makes me wish I had left her notes sometime!

How precious is that!!!! I always loved that cute little girl! By the way, I felt your finger pointing right at me when you were talking about your "less organized" friends! That's okay as long as you keep calling me friend!

So sweet!! You are such an inspiration, Kelly! I think you are a great mom!!
It does make you feel soooo good to be recognized by your kids!

Oh, and by the way....am I one of those "less organized friends" you were referring to? I know I'm not that organized, but I'm learning--especially when it comes to getting more sleep!

Ummm, Destiny, No! I WAS NOT referring to you...I saw your scrap room on your blog...have you seen it? :-) I actually wasn't thinking of anyone in particular when I was typing that entry, I just know some of my friends "think" they are not organized...I'm just compulsive about it...I can't help it!

I do the same thing with the Ovaltine for Seth and the meds for Jonathan! Too funny!

Hannah is certainly a treasure. Love that girl...she came over before AWANA was over last week and gave me a big hug. :)
