Driveway~

It's so fun to go to the house in the evening now because there's something new every day. Today we had concrete! Actually, we had it yesterday, but I didn't have my camera. I also have a copper roof on my bay window. It will age to brown. Somehow I got a choice...age to brown or age to green and I picked brown.

They scored the concrete today and made cuts in it.

The painter will paint the outside on Monday. I spent about 15 minutes today picking out an outside color. It was pretty easy. I just drove around the neighborhood and picked out a brick similar to ours and went with their trim color. We will have handles and hinges that are black on our garage doors, so we are painting the trim around the garage doors...the frame I guess...black. The carriage  lights are also black on either side, as are the shutters. The contrast with the frame of the garage door is a common thing out here, and I really had to study it to decide if I liked it or not. I think I do. It has taken some getting used to.

The outside color is a taupe beige color; not sure how you can go wrong with that. It's a 'gutter' color. When we put our gutters on at a later date, they'll match the eaves already. Planning ahead, that's what I call it.

I think we might need a powerwasher. This appears to be a lot of concrete.

I plan to put a flowerbed in this little curve. And my battery run out, so this is the only shot that I have down the driveway, of the complete length.  the concrete makes it look so much cleaner!
