Empty Nest Syndrome...

This is the last morning with the ducks...we were headed out to take them to their new home...see how many critters you can find in this picture. Annie...the black and white duck...puddles and dafffy in the water and there is one more critter in there somwhere just hanging out...like nothing is going on...can you find her? I mean it? Comment if you can.

Yes, tis true...and probably no one cares, but I must blog about it anyway. The ducks have flew the coop...we turned them loose yesterday and they love their new home. We have been able to chekc on them 3 or 4 times since yesterday morning and they are adjusting fine. They are sticking together like peanut butter and jelly...those three! Who'd have thought they'd be so close after how they beat up on poor Annie a month ago! Here are pics from yesterday and them in their new home....

Remember last year, when we threw our ducks in the marina water, they kept coming back out to us...we threw them in and they'd come back out...we couldn't get them to go...these guys are much more independent...more Carl's ducks this year than mine.

Their new home....if this is your neighborhood...my deepest apologies.

At least they are new to you and the church. Easy access for frequent visits?

was maddie in the picture? It was neat seeing the ducks grow up. I wish I could do that for the kids but the dogs would get them. You will have to do it again next year.

Maddie is sitting right there in front of the bush! I had to blow up the picture to see it. What a phenominal camouflage! Mice, better look twice!

Yep, Maddie was in there. In the fall, she'll be almost invisible!
