Meet "Puddles" & "Daffy"....

Yes, we have totally lost our ever-loving minds over here. One debilitated dog, one cat, one horse, and now two ducks...we had so much fun with Moe and Clumsy last year, that we couldn't NOT do it again. The mallards arrived today at Hilltop, so Carl and Hannah got pick of the litter. They are two days old. Aren't they cute?Hannah didn't want to leave them alone in the garage, so she settled down with her Harry Potter book out there (check out how thick this book is/Book 4 of 7). It's 22 AR points! Puddles & Daffy are keeping her company. They snuggle up under her arm to stay warm, like they would their mother; under her wing. The one on the bottom was poking the one on the top in the butt with his beak. It was funny.
Maddie was mad because she couldn't go in the garage, and when I did take her out for a peak...she was MORTIFIED! She was scared of them; her pupils got huge and she was twitching her tail like crazy and then she hissed at them. When I put her down, she bolted for the door and was trying to use her paw to open it faster. Wait til this weekend when the class bunny shows up for a visit...why not a bunny too? Just like last year, I'll keep you posted on the boys and how they grow.

I think the last Harry Potter book (book 7) is 48 points. I told her to read it over Summer break and test on it first thing next year, then she could read for fun til the end of 1st quarter
