Trash to Treasure...

No, this is not a post about the HGTV show, but about my dumpster diving at Goodwill today. You just never know what you'll find, and while I find that the majority of people are secretly grossed out about the Goodwill; in all honestly, nothing thrills me more lately than a weekly trip to the Goodwill. There's nothing like getting something for nothing; and you all know how I love to find things there that are discarded treasures from someone else...some unknowing family member that just never really knew how much that one thing meant to that person...like my Bible I found last year and a dozen other things since.

Today I hit the jackpot. For $11.89 cents, I found the following:

Set of three Charger plates for $2.99 (which I need for the KLOVE auction table decorating in May/I need about 11 more by the way).I found one brand new, still in the shrink wrap set of oval cutting templates from none other that Creative Memories...$1.99One sterling Silver Dome, crest ring for 99 cents,and 3 pair of sterling silver earrings for 99 cents each, and a year Bible flip calendar in the package new...

On top of my fabulous deals, I was able to get my 10% military discount also..but it ends on March 1st, they won't be offering it anymore. (only Senior Citizens, of which I will be before long)
As for the jewelry; you never know what you'll find; it all looks awful, because who'd give nice looking jewelry to the Goodwill after all? I don't think anyone looks at it but me; I never see anyone studying the jewelry. Well, people who don't know what nice jewelry is, or who don't' realize that silver tarnishes if it's not the non-tarnish type... that's who gives it away...or some man who doesn't know what he's doing....sometimes the cashier told me, that they find earrings, rings and such in purses and pockets of clothes that people donate.
