Pumpkin Light Night @ SPE

Ok, 'tis no secret, I live for Pumpkin Light Night. Maybe because as a child, I NEVER carved a pumpkin...yeah, feel sorry for me and my dysfunctional childhood...I also only trick-0r-treated once, but I'm over it. At least my therapist said I was. :-) Here are a few of my favorites from tonight...

Dun-a, Dun-a, Dun-a....Jaws anyone?

How stinkin' cute and creative is this?

This was my favorite group effort...love the cupcakes with sprinkles....

Blowfish anyone?

I don't know what this is...but it's adorable!

One eyed flying purple people eater...I think. Didn't he have horn? can't remember the rhyme.

How cute is this; reindeer pumpkins...present pumpkins and snowman pumpkins (not pictured!)

I think this is a relative of mine. Dig the glasses "dude", they're like, so cool man.

Hippies were huge this year, as were computer generated faces on the pumpkins. Combine the two and you get these bizarre looking pumpkins that are almost human looking!

At least he doesn't have a "unibrow".

"On Top of Spaghetti"..my second favorite for classroom displays! Yes, that was REAL cooked spaghetti under those pumpkin flavored meatballs. I loved it!
For obvious reasons...another favorite of mine...no it's not a burnt meatball...what Hannah thought it was...it's a hummingbird! :-)
Isn't he the cutest turtle you've ever seen? Who thinks up these things?

Hannah & Olivia "freezing to death"...ok, it's chilly...but not nearly "freezing". Seems she has forgotten Oklahoma winters! Also, they're eating Dippin' Dots as well...$5 a cup I might add. What a rip off! SPE wrote the book on ripping off parents.

Loved these guppies too...they were the brightest display going!

There's just not a flattering way to squat, is there?

"Super-Ben" flexing his muscles! (Germany Jen, don't you miss that face? He has such a fabulous personality!)

Meet "Riddles" Hannah's class pet. I think it is so cool that Ms. Goodwin got the class a pet. She is so laid back...her teacher that is, and she lets Riddles out to hop around the room. Each week the class draws names to see who will take Riddles home for the weekend. We haven't had our turn yet...

Hannah's bunny from their class display: "No Dumb Bunnies in Ms. Goodwin's Class". Each bunny had a riddle next to them...for "Riddles" the bunny. I love how Mrs. Goodwin let the children actually do the display. You can tell the display's where the room Mom's did most of the work. Last year, Hannah didn't even carve her pumpkin or didn't even get to pick which Disney character it was. The room Mom's did everything, totally excluding the kids.

Hannah's class display.

How I miss SPE!!! You are right I do miss that sweet lil face on Ben! Such a super cutie! Morgan has been asking about Mia & Ben and she will love to see this picture!

Good for H's teacher letting the class do the class display. When we were there we had the "Stepford Mom's and they did it all!"
