Ok, so I decided to try to take a photo of the three of us for our Christmas card, in addition to those two cool pictures that MJ did for me...she made the Santa hat red, Star's halter turquoise and the rest of the pic is B&W and it looks fabulous. So, before church this morning, while we were all shaved, fluffed and dressed, I set up the tripod and TRIED to take a picture..here's how it went below...with what I think is the best of the bunch as the last one...
Nope, won't work...I ran too fast after pushing the timer button...I landed on Carl's lap instead of beside him...he said "you won't even be able to see me". Nope, can't see him. Plus, on all of these, the camera isn't high enough on the tripod, and it looks like we get smaller as it goes up the picture...big bodies...little heads, or perhaps it isn't' the camera at all...maybe we really do look like this. :-)

Nope, I tried too hard to get behind my husband and ended up having to lean way into him...almost sideways, plus my shirt is sticking out and I look pregnant and Hannah has a double chin.

No, not this one either; Hannah still has a double chin, Carl looks stupid and I look even fatter than in the last one. let's try again...

This one needs no explanation. I actually think they planned this. This doesn't look like an accidental "natural" eye closure.

Hannah still has her eyes closed and Carl has one eye. After all, it's my hair I want to be seen anyway, right? I don't know why I keep leaning over like that.

I look like I'm balding. My head is cut off on top...why didn't I notice that in the last picture. Carl still looks like he's in pain.

Hannah's not smiling, she's smirking, but otherwise, an OK picture.

Don't ask...I have no clue what I'm doing here..obviously I'm trying way too hard with this picture thing...i mean, what is natural about this pose? Absolutely nothing. I look ridiculous. I guess I figured since the left side wasn't working out, maybe I'd try the other side. Nope. No go. Try again.

Not too bad, but still not what I'm looking for. My neck disappears into my shirt.

Maybe...

Not even close...

I give up. These two are impossible.
And the winner probably is...this one Amy took at the Christmas Party Friday night. I'll make it B&W and maybe MJ can make the balls ont he tree red, along with Hannah's jacket.

I love it - what a great chuckle first thing in the morning! I do love your brown outfits. I bet you all had fun taking those pictures - after all - if you can't laugh about them - what's the point?
You are so funny!!! I think this happens to a lot of people! Last night at our Sunday school party, we looked at the out takes of a family pic taken with a timer and they have 6 kids and a dog in the pics!!! VERY FUNNY! Thanks for the laugh this am. :)
I meant to ask you this morning how you were feeling...sorry I consumed you with so much about Jonathan! Are you doing better???
I love these pictures...you need to make a scrapbook page on your Christmas photo attempts! That's a great photo...that last one.
Beautiful picture Wingo family. Sorry to hear you have the shingles and hope this is not a reoccuring thing. I have never seen tonsils before, very interesting! I have to say, only a nurse would take pictures like that - LOL. Merry Christmas!
